Spring of 2013, Derek was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease). Derek was a respected Firefighter for both Wilmington and Kankakee. He retired a few months shy of recieving his pension, as he was no longer able to perform the required duties. Derek will leave behind his loving wife Hollly and 3 beautiful children (Paxton 5, Hayden 3, and Brinlee 1). After battling ALS for 4 years, Derek made the decision to remove himself from life support.  Please continue to pray for the Hogg Family!
