Derek's Medical & Recovery Expenses

Derek was the victim of a selfish and negligent drunk driver Tuesday (2/11). He was struck in a near head on in Elizabethton and is currently hospitalized. He has several broken bones, and a tear on his heart. He did have surgery to repair the tear, but this will leave long lasting recovery times and a significant financial burden. Thankfully, his wife and son were not in the vehicle. 

Derek is one of the nicest and greatest guys you would ever meet. He would give you the shirt off his back (also so that he could show off his abs that he has worked for years to sculpt!).  Derek is like that. Funny, witty, and always thinks of the group before he thinks of himself. During his long recovery, he is going to have many large medical bills, loss of work to support his family, and potentially long lasting health effects. Derek is a veteran of the US Army and he is very proud of his service. He's one of the best soldier's you'd ever serve with.
