Derek Solomon and his family find a home

Hello, my name is Derek Solomon. I am currently writing this on a whim with no idea where my family and I may lay our heads tonight. Both my parents have been evicted from their previous apartments and now my family of 6 plus our dog are now homeless.

Above is a picture from my high school graduation, where I graduated from one of the most prestigious preparatory schools in the country, Berkeley Prep. I am now in my last term at Florida Atlantic University before I complete my Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a minor in Public Administration. I have been commuting, with the help of my mom, to my classes every week for the past 3 years due to financial struggles back home. Through all of this, I have remained resilient to my studies and now I am merely weeks away from graduating, but now my family and I do not have a home.

I have faith in God and my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that everything will sort itself out but I may need help. Anything is appreciated and we will graciously accept whatever we are given and any opportunities presented to us.
