My name is Derek Rodriquez, and I’m honored to be representing the Orientation Team in this year’s Alpha Phi Mr. Heartthrob competition in support of women’s heart health.

Alpha Phi’s philanthropy, the Alpha Phi Foundation, is dedicated to advancing women’s cardiac care through research, education, and prevention. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women, and the Foundation’s mission helps fund vital programs that save lives every day.

I’m passionate about supporting this cause because everyone deserves the chance to live a healthy, full life, and raising awareness for women’s heart health is a step toward making that possible.
