Derek Alexander - 2024 WKC World Championships, Portugal

Sensei Derek Alexander has earned a spot on WKC Team Canada for a second consecutive year, qualifying in seven events at the upcoming 2024 WKC World Championships being held in Albufeira, Portugal from October 26th - November 1st, 2024.

He needs our help! Opportunities like this are extremely rare and very expensive. He has many people that would like to support him, and this GoFund me gives everyone the chance to donate and help contribute towards his expenses for this trip.

He will be competing in all three disciplines of open hand kata, weapons kata, and point

sparring.

Sensei Derek Alexander, a 5th degree Black Belt in Tiger System Karate & Kobudo, is an active member in his community providing private Self-Defense and Karate training to employees within the Health Care System and Law Enforcement in Canada.

He has been able to become an International Martial Arts Champion while competing in the World Karate Commission (WKC) circuit since 2022.

His accomplishments include capturing a Silver Medal at the 2023 WKC World Championships in Orlando, Florida; 2-time WKC Pan-American Champion; 4-time WKC Canadian National

Champion; 5-time WKC Ontario Provincial Champion; and 3-time Quebec Open Champion & Sparring Grand Champion.
