Derek Lancaster Family Fund

It is with heavy hearts that the Plaza Lexus family mourns the loss of Lisa Lancaster. Lisa is wife of Derek Lancaster, Plaza Lexus Sales Manager and also the daughter of Kim Kuntz, also known as Momma Kim—a long time employee of Plaza Motors in St. Louis.

Lisa passed away just a few days before Christmas due to complications from Multiple Sclerosis and COVID-19. Lisa was diagnosed with MS in 2019 and the pandemic was especially hard on Lisa’s health and the Lancaster family. When she contracted COVID-19 a few weeks ago, it exacerbated Lisa’s issues with MS, and even though she fought as hard as she could, Lisa passed away on December 22 at 11 p.m. She was only 39-years-old.

Our hearts at Plaza Lexus are broken for Derek and the Lancaster family. Lisa leaves behind her 5-year-old son Garrett who was her whole world. Garrett is autistic and in her life, Lisa was a wonderful mother who cared for him selflessly. During a season where they should be celebrating the holidays with family and opening gifts, they are instead working on making funeral arrangements and rebuilding their lives.

Derek has been a Plaza Lexus team member for the past eight years as a sales and finance manager. He has always been a great teammate and a selfless, kind person. He’s always been there for his co-workers and friends and so, we want to be there for him and his family during their time of need.

Derek’s co-workers at Plaza Lexus set up this GoFundMe page to help raise money for the Lancaster family so they can cover funeral expenses, childcare costs, and medical bills.
