Friends and Family,

I'm sure many of you saw the facebook post about Derek's recent softball injury. If not, he was hit in the face by a softball while sliding into 2nd base and has 4 fractures to his nose and face. After his appointment on Monday with the plastic surgeon, surgery is required. They have to put his nose back into place and add plates and screws to two areas of his face. With that BIG heart that he has he didn't want to ask anyone for help but several of us have decided that it must be done. Before his insurance kicks in he must meet a 3000 dollar deductible then pay 20% after that. The total is over $6000 and he will be out of work for 3 weeks or so. YOU ALL KNOW THAT HE WOULD HELP US ALL WITH ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING WE ASKED OF HIM SO LET'S DO THE SAME!!!! Your donations won't only help him with some of the surgery costs, but pick him up from the pain and stressors he's feeling of having to miss work without pay.
