DEREK "DEL" HADWIN CPFC

Hi all

My name is Paul Younger and a longstanding close footballing friend of mine, George Hadwin, sadly lost his brother Derek "Del" Hadwin on 21st December 2024 in tragic circumstances at Beckenham Railway Station.

On the morning of Saturday 21st December, around 10.25am, Derek was on his way to Swanley to see his 3 children before Christmas. He purchased a ticket and entered the station and a sudden gust of wind blew his ticket from his hand. He lurched forward to grab the ticket but sadly stumbled and toppled over the edge of the platform into the path of a fast train on its way to Victoria. Derek had everything to live for and his mum wants to ensure that everyone knows that he had no intention of taking his own life, particularly in view of the fact that George has now seen the still images from the British Transport Police of that day's tragic events.

This fundraiser is aimed at Crystal Palace Football Club Family and Friends to raise a small amount of money for a wreath for Derek and any surplus funds will be given to the family towards the funeral costs at this challenging time.
