I'm Kit Corbett and I am the first person in my family to go to college. People keep telling me I can't do it, but I will prove them wrong!  I have finished my high school diploma requirements. Yay!  But now I am looking for postsecondary education training options.  I chose the cosmotology program at Mountainlands Applied Technology College (MATC) because it is a public college, hands-on program in a field that I am passionate about.  This is a way for me to start a career, not just a job. This career will help me to suceed, be independent and support myself in the future.

The course fee for the MATC cosmetology program is $2,320, and that is what  I'm trying to raise money for. To be able to attend college at MATC, I need  to raise the $2,320 by January 20th! I have tried many different avenues in financial aid, but they have not been available, so this is my last option to go to this program.  I realize that this is a very short time, but I would like to turn this into a career now and I exhausted all other options for funding. The money raised will be used 100% for the required course fee.
