Deputy Willie Davie Medical expenses and finance

Deputy Willie Davie was doing his extra job on Monday 9/27/21 and was found unresponsive outside the business by a customer. They managed to wake him but he was very disoriented and was transferred to the local hospital. After conducting tests they transferred him to Memorial Herman Trauma Center Downtown since they were not equipped to handle his injuries. He obtained a Basilar skull fracture and was leaking spinal fluid/blood from his ear and nose. They kept him a few days but since the leakage had stopped they sent him home to recover. The initial catscan showed no blood clots but will have to redone in two weeks. He has to be under constant supervision due to the fact that he is a fall risk, to watch for spinal fluid leakage and signs of a stroke. His is in alot of pain and has some memory issues however that does seem to be improving some.

Willie is my brother in law. If you know him or have ever met him, he will do anything for anyone that needs help. He worked two jobs and went through the police academy at 40 to fullfull his dream of becoming an officer. He works very hard to take care of his family. Most people know their story if you live in this area but they have had a tough few years. In 2012 my neice payge was in an auto pedestrian accident. She had a stroke and was left with a severe Traumatic Brain Injury that causes her to have to have constant care and supervision. So because of this my sister no longer works and Willie is their only income. They anticipate that he will be off work for a couple months but could be a little less or a little more. It all depends on how he recovers.
