On Oct. 31 2018, Deputy Loren Vasquez, was  in the midst of her third shift as a new deputy, responding to a call during severe storms, she was involved in a fatal car accident. Loren leaves behind her parents Beto and Blanca, and her older brother Agustin. As well as being a deputy for the Waller County Sherrifs office, Loren was a volunteer fire fighter for the city of Brookshire. She lived her life to give back to the community. Before becoming a police officer she worked with The Brookwood Community, a residential facility and vocational program for adults with disabilities.  She was living her vision of the American dream, she immigrated to the US with her parents as a child, and did everything she could to give back to the community she loved. We ask for help to offset any cost the family will incur.
