Deputy Jeffrey McKee Fundraiser

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Jeffrey R. McKee lost his life due to injuries received in a traffic incident in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 28, 2021, near the intersection of the Northbound 5 and 710 freeways. Deputy McKee is survived by his wife, son (8), and daughter (5).
Deputy McKee joined the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in November of 2006 as part of Academy Class #357. Deputy McKee completed the LASD Academy in April of 2007 and began his LASD career at the Inmate Reception Center. After completing his custody training, Deputy McKee was quickly recognized for his ability to work exceedingly well in the fast-paced environment of the Inmate Reception Center.
Although Deputy McKee was honored and grateful to be a Deputy Sheriff, it was apparent to anyone who knew him, he was most proud of his work as a husband and as a father. Jeffrey was a dedicated husband and father who always prioritized family and faith above all else.
We, his Sheriff Department family, are completely heartbroken to have lost such an amazing, caring, hardworking man. Jeffrey will be remembered as more than a partner, he’ll be remembered as an inspiration to us all.
The donations will be presented to the McKee family to assist them in this time of need and to establish a scholarship fund for his two children. The Inmate Reception Center, Operations will track and present the donations to Deputy McKee’s family.
