Taylor County (Fl) Sheriff’s Office K-9 Deputy Troy Anderson and the Anderson family are in need of your assistance. On Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at around 9:30 pm, Deputy Anderson was shot repeatedly as he approached a vehicle on a traffic stop in an extremely rural portion of Taylor County.
Deputy Anderson was airlifted to a nearby hospital, and is currently in ICU in stable condition. Deputy Anderson is strong and remains a fighter; however our hero is facing a long, hard road to recovery.
To know Troy is to love him. If he doesn’t find a way to make you smile upon the first hello, he is bound to break the ice with some kind of wisecrack or sarcastic comment.
Today, his family, his friends, his law enforcement brothers and sisters, and his community miss him dearly and pray daily for his recovery.
