Depression-Struggling to get back on feet

Hi, my name is Sue Parker and I am reaching out to anyone who has had a loved one who struggles with depression and lives challenges. My son, Grant (30 years old), suffers from depression for the last 13 years. But he has come a long way since his 1st hospitalization, has held 2 jobs for over 5 years a piece, which can be difficult if you don't want to get out of bed.

 

Now he is struggling with life after Covid 19 pandemic aftermath. Lost his job, lost his apartment, and credit is damaged - no income to pay for debt. He lived with me for 6 months and finished some online education. Not wanting to be a burden anymore, he relocated to Portland OR, found a job within a day driving for Pizza Hut, living in a cheapest hotel in a rough area in Portland.

 

His car was vandalize last night and not drivable. He needs his car to be repaired so he can earn money just to live. He won't be able to stay in a hotel room after Dec 2nd or sleep in his car since he took it to a repair shop.

 

Along with trying to raise money for car repairs, it is his hope to raise money for an apartment deposit and 1st month's rent. He is hopeful someone with rent to him since he broke his last apartment's lease due to no job/income to pay for his last month of the lease.

 

I have no funds to help him so he asked me to reach out on a GoFundMe. We are praying that people who are more fortunate willing to help him get back on his feet and continue his fight to stay alive.

 

Grant is a very caring and hard working individual and has a lot to offer this world. His artwork and creative mind is amazing.
