Depolarization is a Fantasy. Literally.

I’m a bridge builder. I always have been. And for years, I’ve watched what's unfolding in the US and known there’s something I’m supposed to be doing about it.
...Weirdly, this is it.

I recently partnered with the grassroots civic nonprofit Braver Angels to create a fantasy musical comedy series about political polarization. Through the lens of fantasy, the show will zoom in on the issues that make us draw swords, the forces that drag us into opposing realities, and how we find common ground. I want to bring audiences into this terrifying conversation with ridiculous joy and create a space where we can reimagine what’s possible.

But for a depolarization story to hit home, it has to be based on the real thing. So we’re bringing 5 artists on the left and 5 artists on the right out of the echo chambers and into one room to talk—to explore their perspectives, disagreements, and common ground, then channel it all into story, improv, and music. We’ll then shape the raw material from this radical cross-partisan jam into a cohesive narrative. In November, we’ll be hosting an industry presentation in New York City to debut the project, receive feedback, and fundraise, launching us into production in early 2026.

But I need your help to get it all started.

This workshop will cost $8000. Renting the space, paying the artists, the writer and the director, meals and transportation, and opening my production company. This workshop will give us our story and script, which will open the door to producers and investors. But for this foundational step, I’m reaching out to you. And your support would mean the world to me.

I believe, with all my heart and mind, that our path forward as Americans lies on the other side of a bridge. There is so much outside our control, but there’s one thing in our hands: we shape our societies around the stories we tell ourselves. America is telling itself some terrible stories about our own division, some false stories. Help us tell an awesome one—a story that cuts through the disillusionment and darkness and makes us dream.

Thank you so much.
I appreciate you.
Let’s do this.
