Deployed Veteran Medical expenses

My name is Larry D. Morrison JR. I'm a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Air National Guard. After my terms in service I spent most of my civilian career supporting armed forces overseas. One morning in August 2020, I woke up and couldn't see through my right eye. For the next 3 months I was misdiagnosed over several hospital visits and refused proper medical care for my eyesight. In October I twisted my knee at work and was finally sent back to the U.S.A for proper medical care. In mid-November 2020 I was seen by an optomologist who requested an MRI. On 23 November 2020 I was told I had a brain tumor that needed to be removed. On 23 December 2020, I was brought to Duke University where doctors preformed a very complicated surgery. It turns out my tumor was strategically placed at the base of my brain and sat on my optic nerve causing me to lose blood flow to my right eye. There were several risks involved due to the size of the tumor and where it sat. Since my departure from my overseas assignment i have been making strides to gain workman's compensation. There have been several delays and im no longer receiving a salary from my company. Meanwhile, my medical bills continue to grow as I have had to see neurospecialists and optomolgists to determine the best course of action for my situation. In a matter of weeks my life just changed suddenly. The 8k will cover just a portion of my medical expenses (primarily the copayment of my 66k dollar surgery). Im sure I won't reach this goal but any help any one can provide would be greatly appreciated. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and an even more awesome new year...God Bless.
