DePauw Habitat For Humanity Trip

Donation protected
Hello Everyone!

We are a group of thirty student volunteers from DePauw University. DePauw students commonly use their Fall Break as a time for relaxing and resting during the busy school year. Our group takes a different approach.

We commit our Fall Breaks to Habitat for Humanity. Specifically, we travel to New Orleans, Louisiana and replace the homes destroyed by natural disasters. Our groups have worked on over fifteen homes for families-in-need since the first trip down to New Orleans. While most groups only build with Habitat for one or two days, we spend over fifty hours at the worksite throughout the course of a week.

It is logistically and financially difficult to transport, move, and shelter thirty college students, but we strongly believe in what we do. With six cars making the 1800+-mile trip and students staying in a hostel, we try to cut as many costs as possible. However, the trip still costs too much for many students to attend, so we come to you asking for help.

Please consider donating to help us reach our goal. With your generosity, more and more students will continue making a difference in the lives of many New Orleans families.

Sincerely and With Thanks,

Mary Reising and Everett Schau
