Hi, Everyone,

The photo I chose to promote this campaign was taken 10 years ago as I was enrolling in my master's program for library and information science at the University of Illinois. I packed up a U-haul and drove five hours from Columbia, Missouri to Urbana-Champaign, Illinois. It was something I didn't know I could do until I did it.

Now, if you've read (or heard) "Departures & Arrivals," you know that I'm headed west. The road trip will be one of 1,400 miles. I'll need money to pay for gas, food, hotels, the trailer system that will transport all my belongings to Austin, Texas, and other expenses. Let me tell you how I arrived to the $5,000 estimate:

As you know, institutionally allocated relocation expenses for grad school are not something I've heard of. If you'd like to chip in, thank you in advance. If you are unable to do so, I understand that, too. In any scenario, remember, as The Four Tops sang, "Reach out" and let me know what threads of "Departures & Arrivals" has spoken to you.
