Mita Skjon lost her young life to cancer and is survived by her husband, daughter and son. Many people have asked how they might help. We are establishing this fund to support their family in the wake of their great loss. We humbly ask you to consider a memorial to the Skjon family.
Obituary:
Skjon, Deolinda Mita (Mandumbwe), 38, of St. Paul, passed away September 9, 2021. Mita was born July 26th, 1983, to Amélia Siquate and Remígio Mandumbwe in Nacala, Mozambique. She came to America in 2010 with her husband and daughter. Finished RN degree in 2019 at Rasmussen. Mita worked at Presbyterian Homes in St. Paul and was dedicated to her patients. She enjoyed spending her free time with her family in St. Anthony/ Langford Park, and yearly vacations on the North Shore, which reminded her of the Indian Ocean back home. Survived by her husband, Erik (Rick) Skjon, daughter, Kalolo, son, Caio, her parents, and sisters, Patrícia and Esmeralda, and brothers, Cosme and Nélio. Brothers-in-law Martin (Lynne) and Kristopher Schoen and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service: 10 am, Saturday, September 18, at St. Anthony Park Lutheran Church, 2323 Como Ave., St. Paul, MN 55108. Outdoor reception immediately following.
