Help Denver Heal After a Devastating Car Accident
Donation protected
On April 7th, 2025, Denver Blaine, 23 years old (The go-to saleswoman at SKC). was involved in a car accident on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago. The impact was severe, and she was rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center where she underwent emergency surgery. Doctors placed an external fixator with the plan for a follow-up removal surgery just six days later. But when Denver returned for her second procedure, she was blindsided: the hospital informed her they would not be covering the next phase of her care. She was handed a medical bill for $124,000—all while still having metal rods and pins piercing through her foot now a week after the planned removal. Since then, she has been trapped in a run around of insurance denials, delays, and unanswered questions. It’s now been two weeks since the accident, and Denver is still suffering—immobile, unable to work, and battling an overwhelming amount of stress as she seeks for proper medical care. While she will soon be able to continue treatment through UIC, the damage is already done. Denver has lost her vehicle, her ability to work and is still facing a unexpected burden of medical bills—even with the hospital change.
Denver is the kind of person who brings light and laughter into every room. She's resilient, hard-working, and full of heart. Please consider donating—whatever you can—to support her recovery, help with transportation, daily expenses, and ongoing medical costs.
