Dentures for Mary: A Cancer Survivor's Need
Donation protected
My friend Mary got stage 4 tongue cancer in 2019 with 4 months to live. She ended up at Rutgers University for treatment. They removed 65% of her tongue, and 6 lymph nodes from her throat. Mary had skin grafts put in and subsequently lost of all her teeth due to the onset of osteonecrosis. Fortunately, Mary is in remission but is still dealing with the aftermath of her cancer. Mary is seeking financial assistance to help get dentures, as her insurance will only cover a portion of it. Getting dentures would give Mary the ability to chew food again and greatly improve her chances of eating. Due to the 13 surgeries on her neck and throat her swallowing ability is limited, however having dentures put in will give her a chance at chewing and eating again. Any little bit helps, thank you!
