Den-Tech needs your help

Want to join me in making a difference? Myself, Andrea our Chairperson of Den-Tech charity, Ella & Andy are raising money to benefit Den-Tech, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

Den-Tech helps to restore dignity, self-esteem, the ability to look and feel normal and the ability to eat a healthy balanced diet by supplying dental laboratory services, dentures and dental restorations to the poor, the homeless and our veterans. We also provide, assistance, support and training when requested to poorer countries to help train up their own people to provide this service to a good standard themselves in the years ahead.

This is the 1st year I've got involved with Den-tech & I've taken the plunge to join their Uganda expedition this year.

In June 2025 we will be heading to Bwama Health Centre, which is on an island in lake Bunyonyi in the Kabale District. We will be working once with local Ugandans to provide as many dentures as possible to the local community in the time that we are there, and once again we will leave enough equipment to set up another small denture dental laboratory.

Uganda has a severe shortage of dentists, with approximately 416 registered dentists serving a population of over 46 million (a ratio of about 1 dentist per 110,350 people). With only one dental school, located at

Makerere University there is also a lack of trained dental hygienists and technicians, further limiting service provision, Infrastructure and Facilities and further compounding the issue, most dental clinics and hospitals

are in major cities like Kampala, leaving rural populations underserved.

This is why Den-Tech is passionate about providing a service to these communities that will leave a lasting legacy. That will enable them to start to provide dental laboratory services to their own communities

through the equipment and upskilling we provide, services that they never thought they would ever be able to receive.

However, we cannot do this without your support, there are always costs associated with this type of activity, for the trip we will need dental laboratory supplies and equipment for us to use at our outreach clinics, this is also the equipment that we will leave behind when we go as part of the dental laboratory set up we are donating to the local community.

In addition to this, we will also need to buy certain materials and equipment in the country as it is not safe or practical to transport this ourselves, we need to fund in country transport for ourselves, the equipment and the Ugandan team we will need to support us.

So, if you or anyone you know can possibly help with providing materials, equipment and/or monetary donations to help with the additional costs we would be incredibly grateful, as they too, would be helping us make an incredibly life changing impact on the lives of those deeply underserved communities.
