After what feels like a lifetime of agonizing tooth problems, I've discovered a simple solution. Naturally, this needs funding, but instead of focusing only on myself, I'm looking to help others get the dental help they need.

How?

I'm Gabriel Dayan, an independent filmmaker making a movie about the dental tourism industry. By raising a production budget, yet working frugally to minimize expenses, I can save enough to cover the cost of treatment for, hopefully, a large number of people.

The "proof of concept" trailer video explains what the movie is about, and gives you a sense of the look and feel. Like any documentary, content will evolve throughout production, and the end result will have interwoven real life stories.

There are two underlying themes, which match the title in two different ways.

First, insights gained through travel, experiencing different cultures. The more we learn, the more we realize how little we know. The greatest thought leaders might well say, "I know nothing."

Secondly, those back teeth which are often a problem from the moment they begin to grow. Which quickly leads us to the dental tourism industry.

My own due diligence in the quest for a whole mouth makeover done right, at the lowest price, has enhanced my education as to not only which clinics can be trusted but also who to run away from before even saying hello. There are so many people suffering long-term after being too hasty and, to put it bluntly, going to the wrong kind of clinic. I want to put a stop to that. Without blatantly promoting any one specific clinic, my film will include a virtual consultation to enlighten the audience on what to look for.

At the time of writing this, as yet no funds have been raised (so thank you for being the first donor). However, I have the film equipment and editing suite already, and this was used to put together the trailer. You'll notice the technical quality is UHD HDR. I'm aiming for Netflix.

As production develops, the trailer will be replaced by a better one. My commitment to excellence aims to attract "bankable names", in other words, famous people who for their own personal reasons want to be in this film.
