Hey everyone.
American Health Care is pretty damn awful and Dental is even worse. I don't know how or why dental care is considered a luxury but here we are.
This is hard for me to do but I guess I don't want to die of an infection in my head. As most of you already know, I am in a great deal of pain and am about to get some pretty serious dental work done.
How serious? Serious to the tune of approximately $8000.00.
WTF, Darren?! 8k?! Unfortunately, yes. I'll break it down for you because I believe in full transparency.
Phase 1 Dental: $2,804.00 - Pulling both infected teeth and applying a bone graft for a future implant. Anesthesia included here as well.
Phase 2 Dental: $4,634.00 - Adding in an implant for the missing molar. Anesthesia included here as well.
Total Price: $7438.00
These phases do not include the price of any crown work, pain meds, and crowdsourcing fees which is why I rounded up to 8k. If people think that's unreasonable, let me know and I'll back the price down.
It's important to also note that I have gotten a second opinion and the prices are actually less than the price I received from the second office. The good thing, though, is that the second office at least gave me some antibiotics to help treat the infection.
