Dental Surgery Needed for Health Complications
Donation protected
Unfortunately in the middle of dental work, my dental insurance capped out and will no longer cover the large parts of my upcoming surgery for 6 teeth to be extracted and everything that will come afterwards. This is a really hard hit to my life, my mental and my physical self as I’ve been in the middle of treatment for stage four endometriosis that has left me with ovarian masses, something I sadly also needed help for in terms of finances and medical debt. I’ve been dealing with a large brunt of tooth decay for five years, due to short bowel, lack of nutrition, Crohn’s complications and my faulty collagen due to Ehlers Danlos, I knew I’d lose parts of my teeth and even full teeth, just not when I did. I have extraction surgery for May 16th and as of right now, I’ll need to reschedule and maybe even fully cancel it, for a second time due to funds. I’m already utilizing a finance plan through my dentist but with the cap on my insurance, surgery is now more out of pocket and is not obtainable currently financially. If I reschedule, it could worsen the infection, and if I cancel fully, it would be due to my own mental health and giving up on my health and my life, as all my complications of illnesses have already shortened my lifespan. Not only is this lifesaving measures, it’s a part of insuring my quality of life for as long as I can live. I’m not sure what to do from here other than give up, so I’m here. Thank you to anyone who encouraged me to crowdfund, and thank you to anyone who understands my need for wanting to give up as well. This is one of the hardest positions to be put in. I can continue preventative care for the quality of my remaining life, only via a lot of money out of pocket. It’s unfair and deeply cruel, but I have no where else to go. Thank you for reading this and taking the time.❤️
