This is Mumbles, our sweet, gentle 3-year-old cat who’s been silently suffering in pain for far too long.
Mumbles was born with severely deformed teeth, and now at only 3 years old, her condition has worsened to the point where she needs full-mouth dental surgery to survive and thrive. She’s in constant pain, barely eats, and even though she’s an adult cat, she’s the size of a kitten because of how much she’s struggled.
She wants to eat, she wants to play, but the pain continues to take over and hinders the ability to live normally more and more as time goes on. Our vet told us her teeth are so damaged and infected that every single one needs to be removed to stop her suffering. Without surgery, her condition will continue to deteriorate.
The estimated cost for her full surgery (including anesthesia, bloodwork, meds, and post-op care) is $6,000-$12,000 CAD.
My partner and I have done everything we can, but we simply cannot afford this alone. We’re both trying to keep up with bills while making sure Mumbles is comfortable, but we’re at a breaking point.
This is a painful post to write…we love Mumbles so much, and it breaks our hearts to see her hurting. She’s still got so much life and love left to give, and this surgery could give her a pain-free, happy future.
If you’re able to give even a small amount, or share this with someone who might be able to help, it could make a lifechanging difference.
Thank you so much for reading and for caring about Mumbles.
