Dental Surgery for Rudolph
Donation protected
A few months ago I let in a stray cat who had been visiting my yard for years. It became clear that the makeshift shelters weren’t cutting it during the cold winter. He so clearly wanted to come inside, like my other cats.
Other people in the neighbourhood were also feeding and watching him, and looking for someone to take him in.
Since then, Rudolph has become the most affectionate, grateful house cat. He’s almost dog-like: he follows me around and always wants to be close to people. He loves his new life and I am so happy he is warm, clean, and fed.
But during his first vet visit, I learned that he has bad gingivitis, infection, and urgently needs teeth extractions. The estimate for his treatment is between $1,889 and $2,483.
While his personally is sweet and playful, you can see that he’s pain: his mouth is swollen and always open, sometimes with his tongue sticking out. And the side of his mouth is wet, brown, and acne-prone, probably because it hurts to groom that area.
This expense is a surprise, but little dude has survived longer than the odds outside and deserves to be pain-free. If you’re inclined to help me out a little, I would be so grateful!
I know that there are so many people struggling right now, but a little really would go a long way. ❤️
