In my quest to tnr my local cat colony, I came across this baby. An adorable gentleman who always politely waited for food every morning. I fell in love with him and his sweet personality and decided to name him Gramps.
I was able to trap him, and after he got fixed, I learned what terrible shape he was in. The vet estimated him to be about 10-12 years old. He's got an open wound in addition to some severe dental problems. All of his teeth need to be removed, so I'm hoping to help raise the funds to make this happen. The vet estimated it'll cost between $1600-1800 for his dental work including bloodwork. An accurate quote would require him going back under anesthesia to relook at his teeth, which I'm going to hold off on for now. I'm also going to get him tested for FIV/FeLV and vaccinated, so I upped the goal amount to help cover those costs.
It would have broken my heart to release him back outside in the shape he's in. Hopefully, after he's healthy, I can find him a loving home with people who'll care for him the rest of his life.
