Last month my dentist declared one of my upper molars had to go because there was a cavity growing in the bone beneath the tooth. The tooth can't be saved, she said. So I went to an oral surgeon for a consultation. I seem to have lost bone in my face. Once the tooth is gone the oral surgeon needs to do a bone graft or else every time I drank liquids they will come out my nose. But while my insurance would pay for the extraction I would have to come up with the money for the graft, even with Medicaid. I'm going to check that, but I still need to be prepared to pay them some money next week when the tooth is pulled. If it turns out Medicaid will cover the graft I'll put any money into the Bridge Fund.
