Hi everyone, my name is Meghan and I am a teacher at Dickinson Academy Cultural Center within Grand Rapids Public Schools. Recently, I learned of a kindergarten student who was having a difficult time focusing in class and seemed to be in a lot of pain. Due to wearing masks, it wasn't as obvious to the staff working with this kiddo what the source of his discomfort was- but they knew he was suffering. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that he has severe dental needs. His family (who we are keeping anonymous), is unable to financially cover the intense care he needs. He truly is the sweetest boy. We are hoping we can help him soon so he can get back to himself and playing like a typical kid!
