Denny's fight- part 2
Donation protected
Part 2-On Christmas eve we found out that Denny's lymphoma is back. The biopsy that was performed came back and positive and Dr. Dang set up chemo quickly as they want to keep the amount of cancer cells down. He completed his first cycle of ICE in the hospital 1-2-20 to 1-4-20, and will return on Jan. 22 for 3 days to start his next cycle. On Jan 13th, 2020 we meet with the bone marrow transplant team to learn more about the next step. After his body is "conditioned" by chemotherapy (approx 5 months of Inpatient chemotherapy) he will be admitted again for a transplant. He will be in the hospital until his new cells take and start producing on their own. This will take approximately a month before its safe for him to leave. Dr. Dang said he will be treated like "bubble boy".
This transplant is said to be the 2nd most expensive surgery and even though we have insurance all the co-insurances, co-pays, and deductibles add up quickly! Denny is unable to work in the construction environment during all of this (not that he feels well enough even if he had a desk job), and he has no benefits. Please consider helping us during this tough time. If there are other ways to help please do, if you are unable to help we understand, however please pray!
Much love,
Denny's family.
Part 1
Hi, my names Gage Chancey. Recently my girlfriend and her family discovered that her dad, Denny, has Lymphoma and he is going to have to go through treatment and chemo therapy. With him being out of work due to the cancer, one income is going to be tough for his wife, especially when she will be having to take care of him. Denny has three daughters who he is very close with and he is about to become a grandpa, as his oldest daughter is about to have her first child. The youngest daughter of his is about to graduate high school and is planning on going to college. My girlfriend is trying to help as much as she can but she just got out of college and just started a new job and can only do so much financially. Denny is a great guy and he would give the shirt off of his back to a complete stranger if they were in need. I really want to help relieve his wife and family of some of the financial burdens that they are facing and get as much weight off of their shoulders as possible. Anyone who knows Denny knows that he is one of those people who would stop what he’s doing at a drop of a hat to help his family, friends, or even complete strangers. However, right now he and his family needs your help! Any donation to help Denny is much appreciated and it will be going to a great man and family. Thank you so much!
