DENNIS is out-FOXing leukemia!

Our dear friend, Dennis Fox, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) July 2017. This is a rare and life threatening form of cancer that affects the white blood cells in his bone marrow. He received his diagnosis on a Saturday and was asked to check into a hospital by Monday, for a minimum of 5 weeks to begin treatment. He had one day to put his affairs in order.
His Doctors told him that he can count on at least 15 months of exhausting treatment including chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant, followed by recovery in isolation, while his immune system adapts to his new bone marrow cells. This is if all goes according to plan.
This is devastating news for Dennis. He is self employed and does not qualify for unemployment or workers comp benefits. He also lives and works alone in the same studio where he makes his living doing art restoration and high end picture framing. If he should default on his mortgage, he would lose both his home and his office.
We are all relieved that right now his extensive medical expenses are being covered by his insurance. However, the American health system is in flux, so we do not know what he will face down the road.
Our $30,000 goal is simply to cover his projected living expenses (mortgage, business costs, utilities, food, etc) for a year and a half, so Dennis can concentrate on winning his battle against this cancer, and not fret about losing his home and his business.
The positive news is that Dennis's cancer was caught early, and is contained in his bone marrow, so his prognosis is good. We are all expecting him to make a full recovery and get back to living a wonderful life.
