Dennis Allman Memorial and Allman Family Support

Early Tuesday morning, Dennis Allman, a loving husband, father of 6 children and grandfather of 5 grandchildren, passed away literally surrounded by his entire family, after a long and brave battle with many health difficulties, including, diabetes, numerous amputations and home dialysis. Through it all his family very loyally staying by his side. In the past year, their vigil and care has been 24 hrs a day.

Dennis was a strong family man, even during his long illness. He still spent days in the woods and on the river with his family, went hunting and fishing - even in his wheel chair, took cousins, nieces and nephews hunting, calling in elk for them. His sons and daughters would help him to stand in the water to fish when he was too weak to do so himself. Though it doesn’t show in the heading picture, this is the elk that Dennis shot from his wheelchair just after his leg amputation while his daughter helped to steady his arm. He spent much time with his family and church family. Never missing a birthday party if he was able to come - even when he couldn’t eat or was sick.

He will be sorely missed!

The emotional toll of any loss is heavy, but in recent weeks due to Dennis’s condition, most of the family had to take time off work, as well as many days taken off by his wife Rhoda and daughters for hospital visits and stays for emergencies, surgeries and regular appointments, so they have suffered heavily financially as well.

Your contribution during this time will go towards any expenses arising from funeral home, memorial, funeral, burial or family needs to get through the next week or so.
