Hi, I'm Isaac and I'm hoping to go to Denmark next year with Explorers on an international jamboree! In order to raise money for this, a group of my friends and I have decided to walk/climb the Yorkshire Three Peaks in September. The route includes Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is a 24-mile round trip, with a total elevation of more than 5,200ft. We have organised the event and will depending on ourselves throughout the walk. It will have a very early morning start and will (hopefully) take 12 or 13 hours...
Explorers (and scouting in general) has been, and continues to be a brilliant experience. It's where I've met many of my closest friends and it's through scouting that I've made tons of amazing memories. Going to Denmark on the Jamboree would be an incredible opportunity for us all to travel, meet new people and spread British Scouting even further around the world. We'd be grateful for any help in regards to fundraising and are eager to attempt the Three Peaks! Over our collective decades in scouting, we've probably walked thousands of kilometres, but never in such a challenging way! Thanks for reading and for any help towards my target.
