Denise's Wheel chair repair
Donation protected
From: Damon Swanson, Classmate of Denise Robinson-Keinonen.
It's been almost 40 years since I walked away from my friends and classmates at NHS. However, I've always considered myself a Newberg Tiger and a member of the class of '78! It has come to my attention that one of our former classmates is in dire need of some costly upgrades to her wheelchair. This person is suffering from multiple sclerosis and is currently bedridden without the upgrades to her medical equipment. Getting the typical runaround from Medicare and unable to afford the costs on her own. A new chair would cost 25,000 dollars. To upgrade the chair she currently has would be 3,300 dollars. That's when it hit me! 33 of her classmates could get this done with a 100 dollar donation. When I approached her with this idea, she felt she could not ask, so I'm asking for her. The person I'm referring to is Denise Robinson-Keinonen. She has already suffered enough with the loss of a son so I'm thinking a little upgrade to her quality of life is in order. I don't usually ask anyone for anything but here I am, asking for your donation. I have pledged 100 dollars and Lisa Armour-Hazenberg is on board to donate as well. Now I realize that not everyone is in a position to give, especially this time of year. If you can't manage 100 dollars, please give what you can, if only a few kind words of support. I just wanted to put the word out and hopefully get the ball rolling.
Thanks!
Damon
