Denise's GBS recovery journey

It feels strange to be at a point in my life where this is my reality. My beautiful friend Katie started this GoFundMe page. I normally and not a person to share my privacy or so much of myself with the world or to ask people for help but sometimes we have to open ourselves up to what God and the goodness of others can bring us. I have or was in a coma for several weeks. I came out of the coma paralyzed and unable to speak. You can't even imagine how difficult and scary that can be. I was in the ICU for several weeks. Still unable to speak and not able to move. Only over the last two weeks have I seen improvement. I am now able to move my arms and shoulders My hands fumble and don't move very well but I'm also starting to move my toes and my legs a bit over the past couple of days. I'm getting therapy twice a day. X-rays doctors therapy you name it meds it's a lot but fingers crossed and tons of prayers that God will bring me a quick recovery and I'll it be able to dance at shepherd's in the near future. I love my friends family and I am very blessed thank you all for sharing and anything you can do to help much love
