Denise's Cancer Treatment and Medications

Denise was Diagnosed with Squamous cell cancer of the throat in November of 2020, Presenting as a stage 4. Within about 3 weeks she had a major tumor removed by the most excellent surgeon we could have ever hoped for - Dr. Mathew Schwarz of SWIENT at St.Lukes in Boise. He surely saved her life. And got her in so quickly amid many other high priorities to be sure. 2 months on afterwards one can barely see any scaring, considering the horrible mass of tumor removed. I so appreciate his sacrifice in taking Denise as a patient in such short order. I am beyond words to express my appreciation. As well as All of the medical professionals, From the initial diagnosis from Primary Health to the imaging team, to the surgeries at SWEINT and St. Lukes and MSTI moved heaven and earth to get Denise into immediate treatment . They all worked so hard and were so kind and helpful, during a very difficult treatment period in light of the Covid situation. Denise needed immediate treatment.
Denise is currently undergoing an intensive radiation treatment regime at MSTI at St. Lukes Meridian for the next 4 to 5 weeks, everyday. The prognosis is good they say, The tumors were localized and not to widespread. And appear to be responding well to the initial Chemo and Radiation treatments. The team at MSTI is so engaged and works so hard for her, they are amazing. We are praying daily for her while in treatment. While we are still in the early phase of after insurance billing. And much of the actual hospital, surgical team and specialists, Imaging, multiple physicians offices, Idaho Periodontal. And an upcoming dental bridgework specialist. Have yet to be billed, However between the 2 hospitals, doctors offices, Idaho Perio (many teeth had to be removed prior to the radiation treatment and this was a huge expense which wiped out all my medical saving for the year in just the initial installment - Not covered by Health Insurance). We are hoping to raise an initial $10 K , which should help with the current outstanding amount at least. An Itemized list will be forthcoming.
Needless to say, we are a single income family and rely solely on my salary from my full-time employment. We are not within the age or demographic range to qualify for any gov assistance. And we have no other sources of income. Which even after the generous benefit payment from Blue C.
My reserve savings have been depleted in medical / perio and related payments thus far. And my income will be stretched beyond the breaking point very soon with the imminent wave of medical bills.
Thank you so much for considering helping Denise, She is such a bright and loving person with so much more to give. We have every faith she will make a full recovery and fight this back to a full and functional life. She had worked for many years in child care before the Covid Situation all but closed the day care center where she worked at part time.
