This fund is for a dear friend of mine, Denise Fritz-Chapman. She has been battling Cancer for 4 years now. It all started when she was being treated for symptoms completely unrelated. What they thought may have been a "cyst" or something minor turned out to be Ovarian Cancer - also known as the "silent killer." By the time the Doctor's had found it, the Cancer had spread everywhere and she had to undergo a full hysterectomy & have a port placed inside to deliver chemo into her body. Just when they thought she was in the clear, she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and had to have a double mastectomy to remove her breasts. They then located it in her lymph nodes & close to her heart which they said was too risky to operate on. The treatment continued with many, many cycles of chemo. As if the bone pain, nausea, severe body aches, & dehydration was not enough, she was hospitalized several times. She could not eat or drink. Many days she could not even get out of bed. The strain on her body was and still is so much to endure. There was always a new treatment, new chemo, new protocol to "try" and in November of 2015, they told her she was 'Cancer-Free.' Then shortly after, her numbers increased again and her scans now show Cancer cells related to the Ovarian Cancer are now in her liver. Over the last 4 years, her body has undergone so much that she cannot receive chemo thru IV anymore. Once again, she will need a port placed and the pain & sickness is worse than anything you can imagine. To make matters worse - not being able to work; constantly having to travel for treatment, and having to pay out of pocket for health insurance with no income coming in. Denise is the most amazing, admirable person I know. So thoughtful, so kind, so vibrant. But her strength by far is her most beautiful attribute. She is fighting the worst battle of her life, but with an undeniable grace. So I'm reaching out to anyone & everyone - Family, Friends, whether you may know Denise personally or not, I ask that you please take this into consideration & help in any way that you possibly can.
