Denise's Breast Cancer support fund

For those that know Denise Stadler, know about her infectious smile, her huge heart, her passion for life, her love of her family, and her compassion for her residents and staff that she serves.  When Denise is not at work, she can usually be found with her grandchildren, usually at Disney.
Denise and her husband Joe are facing the biggest challenge of their lives at a very difficult time in their lives. Denise has battled breast cancer in the past and was doing well until January 2018 when during one of her routine 6 month screenings, her doctor decided to do an MRI. The MRI showed some suspicious areas in her chest that were not seen on her mammogram or ultrasound. After further scans and biopsies, it was confirmed to be invasive breast cancer. Over the next few weeks, Denise had to have pre-op testing, meetings with her care team, and surgeons and share the difficult news with friends, family and co-workers. During this time, Denise did not miss a step! She remained professional, strong and continued to work her normal 12-16 hour days, often leaving to go to her doctors appointments, only to return when she was done to continue working. She is having a double radical mastectomy and reconstructive surgery 2/9/2018. We will not know if there is lymph node envolvement until after the surgery. Denise is strong in her faith and even in the few moments when tears were shed, she smiled through the tears and remained strong in her resolve to get through this and get back to work!
Denise's husband Joe has had his own health issues with two major heart attacks that have prevented him from being able to keep working full time. Denise works as the Executive Director at an Assisted Living Community, which just changed ownership in November of 2017. Due to this change, while employees maintained their seniority, and are accruing  paid time off, it can not be used until 6 months of employment in May 2018. Denise is determined to be back to work in 6 weeks, but our hope is that if we are able to raise funds to help them meet their day to day living expenses and additional medical costs for the next 6 weeks and beyond, Denise would be able to focus on resting and healing without the pressure of rushing back to work.
Denise is a giving, compassionate and selfless person who would give you her last dime if you needed it. She lives for her family, her grandchildren and puts her heart and soul into everything she does!!

Please join me in helping raise the money to help Denise and Joe get through this very difficult journey without having to worry about how they will pay their bills.
