Denise Stanford Ovarian Cancer Campaign

In 2016 our niece Denise was diagnosed with ovarian cancer while living in South Carolina. After being cleared and moving to Pittsburgh in 2018 to live with us, she was unfortunately diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Ovarian Cancer and she is now terminal. Back in 2016 she came to find out that she was misdiagnosed and was found to have 2 types of cancer. Unfortunately the one type went untreated and it metastisized into her lungs, stomach, and liver. She has wonderful doctors at UPMC Magee and she will be seeking another opinion in March at the Cleveland Clinic. She is currently on her second chemo treatment, as the first one did not work.
She is continuing to work as much as she can and despite having health insurance, getting her bills payed has been extremely difficult.
