Denise Needs Your Help: Support Her Recovery

Help support Denise and her family during her recovery!

Hi, my name is Alicia Clements and I'm creating this GoFundMe to help my mom, Denise. On Friday, June 27, 2025, my mom was making her bed and stepped on her shoelace and fell backwards landing on her lower back. She was immediately taken by ambulance to Mission Hospital and diagnosed with an acute lumbar compression fracture at her L2 vertebrae. Since the fall she was instructed not to lift more than 5lbs, bend over or drive untill told otherwise by her doctors. As she owns her own cooking and catering business she is now forced to step away and stop working for 2-3 months to focus on her recovery.

The start of her recovery begins with her in physical therapy about 2-3 times a week. We are praying that the physical therapy will be enough to help so she doesn't need surgery.

Due to her inabilty to work and focus on her recovery it has caused my mom to take on added stress. Which is why I am creating this gofund me to hopefully help alleviate some of the financial burdens she is now facing. All funds will be used to help with medical bills, rent, groceries, etc. Any donations you can give to assist with the financial burden would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
