Denis & Rem's Japan Honeymoon
Donation protected
Greetings, friends, family, and kind internet strangers! Your favorite wine geeks have tied the knot in a small, private elopement, and we want to cross off a bucket-list item for our honeymoon: a trip to Japan. Both of us have longed to travel to Japan and have a love for Japanese cuisine, landscapes, pop culture, and Shintoism. We've never had a proper vacation during our relationship and want to finally go all out for our honeymoon.
After some research, the plane tickets will be the most expensive part at around $3K for two people (economy). We are planning a two-week trip for Spring 2024 during cherry blossom season. After plane tickets are accounted for, that leaves $4.5K for hotels, food, entertainment and attractions, transportation, souvenirs, and GoFundMe fees. We have researched this amount quite a bit and asked friends who have visited/lived in Japan for their input as well. We'll do what we can to cut costs where possible, but at the end of the day, we would like to ball out at least once to celebrate our union.
This trip would be a dream come true for us, as we value experiences far more than items. We live relatively lean, and rather than new kitchen appliances or fancy table settings, we'd rather have an unforgetful experience that we'll carry with us for the rest of our lives. Anything you can chip in is incredibly appreciated, and we won't forget your kindness!
