Urgent help regarding a injured worker

The Story:
I’ve spent my life working hard with my hands, but a serious injury has completely sidelined me. The reality is that I am still badly injured, I am still waiting for the surgery I need, and I am in no condition to return to the work I know.
I didn't choose this, and I didn't ask for the pain—but I did expect that the systems put in place to protect injured workers would actually do their job. Instead, I’ve been hit from both sides. First, I was hit with a wrongful termination from my job. Then, WorkSafeBC (WCB) made the choice to cut off my benefits, leaving me with no income while I am still physically unable to work and waiting for medical care.
I am now locked in a massive legal battle to get my rights back. I am forced to fight through a 540-page file of "red tape" just to prove what is obvious. WCB is playing a waiting game, sending me letters about "30-day processing times" while I’m left wondering how to survive without the benefits I’ve paid into my whole life.
I’m not just fighting for money—I’m fighting for the medical care and the human dignity that every worker is supposed to have. I refuse to be treated like I’m disposable just because I’m waiting for surgery and stuck in a system that refuses to move.
What your support covers:
Survival During the Benefit Cut: Helping me pay for basic necessities like food and rent now that my WCB benefits have been terminated while I am still injured.
The War Against Red Tape: Funding the legal push to hold WCB and my former employer accountable for the benefits they are withholding and the wrongful termination of my job.
Medical & Human Rights: Ensuring I can stay afloat while I wait for the surgery I need and fight a system that is using administrative delays to wear me down.
Holding the System Accountable: Supporting my formal reviews and my case with the Ombudsperson to prove that injured workers are not disposable.
Thank you for standing with me against a system that has turned its back on an injured worker. Every bit of help allows me to keep my focus on the legal battle and my eventual recovery.
