Deneen Cosby Memorial Fundraiser

We are so grateful for all our friends and family members who have been asking how they can support us right now in our time of grief and loss after losing our beloved family member, Deneen. She has been one of the most inspiring humans we have ever known in her daily celebrations of being alive. She lived every day to the fullest despite having to deal with a horrible disease that she knew would ultimately take her life.

She peacefully transitioned from this world with no warning on 3/30/24, the day before Easter Sunday. She had been celebrating her grand-dog Sunny's birthday the day before and had a good day talking and spending time with her daughters & sisters. She was in good spirits and doing relatively well. We are grateful she was not in the hospital or suffering at the time she passed. As far as we can tell she was just sleeping in on a Saturday morning.

Now, her two daughters, Kischa & Jasmin who have been responsible for her care and her constant companions are left to try to figure out how to move forward and take care of themselves instead of their Mom for the first time in their lives. Kischa moved in with Jasmin so that they can grieve together and go through their Mom's things and help plan a memorial as sisters.

René, Deneen's eldest sister and her wife Celeste are organizing the Memorial for April 28th at Heritage Park. In Deneen's honor we will have a Deneen's Purple Picnic Memorial At The Park. We just need help raising money to pay for the park rental, catering, a few decorations and to help the girls with some of the cremation & other unexpected expenses as they've had to take bereavement time off work and pay everything out of pocket.

Anything that you can contribute will be helpful at this time. After all the Memorial & Cremation expenses have been reimbursed, anything extra will go to help the girls with their bills & living expenses at this time.

We appreciate your love. So many of you have beautiful memories & photos to share of Deneen. If you have photos you can send them to Jasmin at [email redacted] as she will be creating a slideshow of her Mom's life. If you want to contribute in any other way please feel free to reach out to Rene on Facebook. Celeste will be officiating and performing at the Memorial Service. More details will be shared as soon as everything is finalized with Heritage Park.
