Help My Dog Rio Walk Again

Hi, my name is Lesly, and I’m writing this with so much love for my best friend—my dog Rio.

I brought Rio with me all the way from Colombia because he isn’t just a pet—he’s family, my little shadow, and the soul that has given me unconditional love through every chapter of my life. He’s a happy, playful French Bulldog who fills every room with joy. But recently, our lives changed in the most heartbreaking way.

One day, out of nowhere, Rio’s back legs stopped working. After rushing him to the vet, I learned that he has a condition called IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease). This is unfortunately common in French Bulldogs and other breeds with long spines. It happens when the cushioning discs between the bones in their spine bulge or rupture, pressing on the spinal cord and nerves. For Rio, this means pain, difficulty moving, and in the worst case—losing his ability to ever walk again.

The doctors told me that the only way to give Rio a real chance at walking again is through surgery. Without it, his condition will only get worse. With it, he has a fighting chance at recovery, mobility, and getting back to being the playful, loving pup that he is.

The surgery is very expensive, and while I wish I could cover it all on my own, it’s more than I can manage right now. That’s why I’m reaching out for help. Every single donation will go directly to Rio’s surgery, recovery, and physical therapy afterward. Even the smallest contribution brings us one step closer to giving him the life he deserves.

Rio means the world to me. He’s been with me through every high and low, and now it’s my turn to fight for him. Please help me give Rio the chance to run, play, and live a full, happy life again.
