Demopolis Baseball 8u All-Stars
Our small town team from Demopolis, Alabama, is excited to have received a bid to participate in the Cal Ripken Southwest Regional tournament in Sherwood, Arkansas. Our boys will compete against the best of the best teams from Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
With unbelievable dedication, the boys have been working tirelessly as a team to reach this level of competition. Winning district was an amazing experience to start the journey. Our boys went 6-0 , scoring 70 points and only giving up 11 points.
The state tournament came next and presented us with fierce competition. Our boys held strong and went 5-1 through the state tournament. Our only loss came in the semi-finals by 4 points to the state champion. Throughout district and state tournaments our boys went 11-1. Outscoring our opponents 156 to 51. Based on our performance in the district and state tournaments we received a bid to the Southwest Regional tournament.
The parents on this team agreed that if the boys wanted to keep going, and received a bid, we would do everything we could to make it happen. We know this opportunity comes along once in a blue moon, and our boys recognize what a privilege and honor it will be to represent the town of Demopolis at the regional tournament. The Cal Ripken Southwest Regional tournament is TWO WEEKS away!! Your donation would go towards helping with lodging and food costs for the boys and their families. We are thankful for EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR and we do not take any of your donations for granted!!!
