DEMON ROBOTICS IS GOING TO FIRST® WORLD CHAMPS!!!

Kennett High School's Demon Robotics has qualified for the FIRST® World Championships in Houston Texas!

 

Demon Robotics has had a fantastic season, earning two awards at Mid-Atlantic District competitions and playing through the semi-finals at both competitions. Those performances on and off the field qualified the team to compete at the FIRST® Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships. Finishing overall in 11th place and then joining the 6th place Alliance to defeat the 3rd place Alliance in a convincing win. In the semi-finals, the team faced the 2nd place Alliance where we forced a tie-breaking match and unfortunately lost. At the conclusion of the Regional Championships, the top 19 teams out of Mid-Atlantic's 130 teams were announced as having qualified for the FIRST® World Championships... Demon Robotics was 12th and is headed to Houston on April 19th!

 

We are incredibly proud of the team's performance and appreciate the support from families that attended to cheer us on and those watching the live feed. We are also humbled by all the support being shared on social media and direct messaging from the KCSD community, our sponsors, and team alumni! This is Demon Robotics 4th consecutive (2017, 2018, 2019, no season in 2020 & 2021, 2022) qualification for the FIRST® World Championships!

 

We look forward to representing our school, families, and community on the world stage!

 

The team will be traveling by coach bus and staying in a hotel while in Houston. We do not want the expense of this trip to keep any of the team members from being able to participate or have to miss this incredible experience.
