A Note from the Staff at Peterborough College: We are raising funds for one of our students, Demi, who is currently facing the fight of her life. Her journey over the past year has been one of incredible bravery in the face of a rapidly changing and aggressive diagnosis.

Demi's Journey

The Journey So Far In early 2025, what was thought to be a benign mole began to change. By August, it was identified as a melanocytic tumor, leading to her first surgery in October. Despite the initial hopes for recovery, new symptoms appeared quickly. On December 22nd, she received the devastating diagnosis of Melanoma.

In January 2026, Demi underwent an intensive 9-hour surgery to remove multiple tumors from her head and 98 lymph nodes from her neck, requiring a skin graft from her leg. While she has shown immense strength, the cancer has proven to be incredibly aggressive.

The Current Fight: As of March 25, 2026, scans have revealed that the cancer was not fully removed and has now traveled into her lungs, liver, and bloodstream.

Because the cancer is now systemic, Demi is about to begin the highest possible dose of immunotherapy. This treatment is her best chance to target the cancer cells throughout her body and reclaim her health.

Where are the funds going:

Please note all funds will be received by Demi's family on receipt, some funds will be used to make bookings for Demi and her family (for example, current plan is charity game in a football stadium as one of the activities). All cash and proceeds will go directly to Demi and her family.
