Demian's Fundraiser for Kali's College

We are colleagues of Demian Fontanella, who passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Demian was General Counsel for the Office of Health Strategy. Prior to that he interned and then became General Counsel for the Office of the Healthcare Advocate. The three of us were known as The Pod. Vicki's partner in crime and right hand at the Legislative Office Building.   Laura and Demian had an instant bond and dubbed each other "work wife" and "work husband".   In 2016 Demian was diagnosed with Stage 4 head and neck cancer at the age of 47. Demian fought for six years for his girls, wife Sheila and daughter Kali. They were his whole world and he fought hard to be here for the.  Everything he did was for them. Demian never complained and always wanted to know how others were doing.  He wanted to see Kali go to her Senior Prom, graduate High School and go off to a college for a 6 -year PA program. Demian had planned on paying for Kali's college tuition, but funds are now limited due to his death. Kali was his greatest joy.
