Demi is fighting leukemia at just 3 months old

I have started this fundraiser to raise money to help the Rikal family as they help Demi fight infant acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Demi was diagnosed with ALL the day before her mom, Melissa, was due to return to work as an oncology nurse practitioner at Tennessee Oncology. Demi was not even 3 months old. Due to Demi needing around-the-clock care (the first month of chemo has been all inpatient) and having a 2-year-old brother (Rowan) at home who also needs someone to care for him, Melissa has not been able to return to work. A bone marrow transplant is almost certain for Demi which will require even more time away.

Melissa has exhausted her paid time off, and medical bills are rising. Every one of us is just one bad day away from a family crisis like this. Please consider helping them financially to offset her absent income while they care for Demi and give her the best shot at a cure. The money raised will be used for: 1) medical bills, 2) to cover household bills while Melissa and Neal need time away from work.
